Our guide to Potts Point

A mix of bohemia, culture, wellness and some of Sydney’s best new eats

Set just a few steps away from the neon-lit streets of Kings Cross, there’s been a sea-change in the neighbourhood since we first opened the doors of BodyMindLife’s Potts Point studio.

With its Art Deco architecture and romantic terraces houses, to weekly markets, health and wellness spots, and great cafes, the suburb has become one of our favourites to explore after class.

Where to eat in Potts PointIt’s hard to go past the inside-outside cafe and wine bar line-up on Llankelly Place. We love Room Ten for its beautiful ceramics and all-day mediterranean breakfast with soft boiled eggs, harissa and labne, and house-made salads, and Dear Saint Eloise for people watching and to wind down even more post-flow or Yin with amazing local wine and small plates. For the more health conscious, The Farm Wholefoods has blended acai bowls topped with goji berries and pecan granola, tumeric lattes and a little store with organic spices, wild rice and raw honey from local suppliers.

Holistic health in Potts PointYou might’ve heard that the Health Space team has taken residence in our Surry Hills studio but did you know they’re in Potts Point too? It’s our number one for remedial massage, nutrition advice, energetic healing and kinesiology. Or for a quick and affordable acupuncture session, reflexology or a therapeutic massage, the chinese healers at Wayne Massage is another favourite.

Shopping + markets in Potts PointWhile we’re happy to wile away an hour or two just walking the pretty streets of Potts Point and popping into stores like The Potts Point Bookshop or Poho Flowers, on weekends, the suburb has one of the best inner-city markets. Next the El Alamein Fountain, you’ll find everything from leafy house plants and organic fruit and vegetables, to takeaway gyoza and local cheeses.

Studio vibes in Potts PointDesigned by our co-owner and healing spaces architect Ferique Brown, the Potts Point studio has an industrial-chic feel with raw concrete and exposed beams, our signature calming white surrounds and fresh blooms, and some of the best Sydney skyline views!
